Description

Baku Kala Air Base is a military airbase located in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan.

The 518th Fighter Aviation Regiment of the Soviet Air Defence Forces was stationed at the base from 1949 to 1952. Following the collapse of the Soviet Armed Forces, aircraft were relocated to airfields in Russia, and the airbase transitioned to the Azerbaijani Air Force.

The facility is operated by the Azerbaijani Air Force and hosts the 843rd Mixed Aviation Regiment.
