Description
Darłowo Naval Air Base, also referred to as Darłówek, is an active military installation in Poland operated by Polish Naval Aviation. The base hosts a detachment of the 44 Baza Lotnictwa Morskiego "Kaszubsko-Darłowska" (44th Naval Aviation Base).
Aviation units at the facility operate AW101 Merlin helicopters configured for Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW), Search and Rescue (SAR), and Combat Search and Rescue (CSAR) missions. These aircraft began replacing the base's inventory of Mi-14 helicopters in December 2023.
