Description

Weihai Dashuipo International Airport is a dual-use airport serving Weihai in Shandong province, China. It functions as both a public and military facility. A comprehensive renovation and expansion project for the airport was completed in July 2005. It is classified as a class 4D airport, equipped with advanced communication and navigation systems, lighting, Instrument Landing System (ILS), firefighting capabilities, and various ground support vehicles. The airport maintains a complete system of air traffic control, maintenance, security, transportation, public security, and logistics services. Its facilities are capable of handling aircraft up to the size of a Boeing 767 and Airbus A300. Due to its military presence, landing and takeoff procedures at Weihai Airport are sometimes conducted with all window shades down.
