Description
The Yabhon United 40, sometimes known as the Smart Eye 2, is an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) developed by ADCOM Systems, a company based in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Notably, the Yabhon United 40 is distinguished by its unique design and the capability to carry a mix of surveillance equipment and weaponry, catering to both reconnaissance and combat roles.
Development
ADCOM Systems, already having experience in smaller UAV designs, embarked on the Yabhon United 40 project to cater to a niche in the market for medium-altitude, long-endurance (MALE) drones that could be armed. Unveiled at the International Defence Exhibition & Conference (IDEX) in Abu Dhabi in 2013, the Yabhon United 40 was pitched as an answer to increasing regional demands for sophisticated surveillance and combat drones.
Design
One of the standout design features of the Yabhon United 40 is its tandem-wing configuration.
