Russian night attacks on Ukraine over two consecutive days sent multiple drones towards the Romanian border, and Romanian F-16s were launched on both occasions to monitor Tulcea County. Three Geran-2 drones entered Romanian territory on 25 July according to the Ukrainian Air Force. All three subsequently crashed and their wreckage was identified. The Geran-2 is the Russian-built version of the Iranian Shahed-136 loitering munition, and it is the single most frequently identified type in this log.
An Italian Eurofighter on NATO Baltic Air Policing duty destroyed an unidentified drone over eastern Latvia before dawn on 14 August, the second time the alliance's quick-reaction force has shot one down over the country this year.
