Fleet Activities Chinhae (CFAC)

Commander Fleet Activities Chinhae (CFAC) is a United States Navy fleet support installation in the Jinhae district of Changwon, South Gyeongsang Province, South Korea. It occupies part of the Republic of Korea Navy's Jinhae Naval Base near Busan and is one of two U.S. naval installations on mainland Asia. Its stated role is fleet support, expressed in the command motto "Serving, Sponsoring".

CFAC falls under Commander, Naval Forces Korea. Commander, U.S. Naval Forces Korea, Detachment Chinhae operates from the installation as a tenant activity. The command is headed by an officer of commander rank.

The installation began as a U.S. Naval Advisory Group established in 1946 and later became the first Fleet Detachment, Naval Station, under the Joint U.S. Military Affairs Group–Korea. It was reorganized in 1972 as the Chinhae Facility and redesignated Field Logistics Center, Chinhae. Further reorganizations produced the present Commander, Fleet Activities, Chinhae.
