Description

Sürmene Naval Base (Turkish: Sürmene Deniz Üssü) is a Turkish Navy installation on the south-east coast of the Black Sea, at Çamlimanı in the Sürmene district of Trabzon Province, northeastern Turkey. The site covers about 6 ha.

The base provides logistic support to the frigate, submarine and fast attack craft forces patrolling the eastern Black Sea. It is manned by naval personnel in the region of 400, with a civilian workforce of about 200.
