UK Joint Logistics Support Base Duqm (UKJLSB)

The United Kingdom Joint Logistics Support Base is a British military logistics installation within the Al Duqm Port and Drydock at Duqm, in the Al Wusta governorate of Oman, on the country's Arabian Sea coast. It supports the deployment of British forces in the Persian Gulf and Indian Ocean and sustains wider British maritime operations in the region. The site was selected for its position east of the Suez Canal but outside the Persian Gulf. As a joint-service facility it is owned by the Ministry of Defence, operated by the British Armed Forces and the Royal Navy, and controlled by Strategic Command; the site is held on a 37-year lease.

The base supports Royal Navy deployments rather than permanently homeporting units. It was intended from 2023 to be the principal facility for the Littoral Response Group (South). Its berths and dry dock facilities take vessels up to the size of the Queen Elizabeth-class aircraft carriers, and the base can accommodate Royal Navy nuclear submarines. Ship maintenance is carried out at the co-located dockyard: the Type 23 frigate HMS Montrose was overhauled there in January 2021, the first Royal Navy vessel to undergo work at the facility. A joint training area for British and Omani forces, the Omani-British Joint Training Area, was established in 2019 at Ras Madrakah nearby.

In March 2016 the British government arranged a joint venture between Babcock International and the Oman Drydock Company to develop the port for naval operations. A Memorandum of Understanding and Services Agreement signed in August 2017 covered construction of dedicated British logistics infrastructure, built by Babcock International and opened in October 2018. The Royal Navy had earlier surveyed the harbour approaches. A £23.8 million investment announced in September 2020 tripled the base's size.
