Republic of Korea Navy P-3C/CK Crash

A Lockheed P-3 Orion maritime patrol aircraft of the Republic of Korea Navy crashed near Pohang in North Gyeongsang Province, killing the four occupants. The aircraft came down shortly after departing on a training flight from the naval air base at Pohang, which hosts South Korea fixed-wing maritime patrol force. The Republic of Korea Navy operates P-3C and upgraded P-3CK variants for anti-submarine warfare against North Korean submarines, and is introducing the P-8A Poseidon alongside them.
