Description
Wonju Air Base is located in Hoengseong County, Gangwon, South Korea. During the Korean War, the United States Air Force designated the facility as K-46 (Hoengseong Air Base).
The installation is primarily used for military operations and functions as a shared-use airfield. Civil aviation at the site is currently limited to flights operated by Jin Air.
Infrastructure includes a passenger terminal located 1.5 kilometers from the runway and a single aircraft stand capable of accommodating Boeing 737-900 aircraft. Operational regulations prohibit the recording of images or video of the runway, apron, and military-specific facilities.
