Hours before the drone that landed on a roof in neighbouring Moldova, two drones were detected over Romania. The first crossed near Chilia Veche at around 06:30 and was tracked by German Eurofighters before returning to Ukrainian airspace. A second, which may also have crossed Moldova, was picked up over Galați County heading west; two Romanian F-16s were scrambled but never made visual contact. At 08:50 a passer-by filmed it over Tecuci. After four hours inside Romanian territory it crashed in a courtyard at Puiești, Vaslui County — the deepest penetration of Romanian airspace since the war began.
