Description

Coast Guard Air Station Ratnagiri, also known as Ratnagiri Airport, is a joint civil-military facility located in India. The civil airport is operated by the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation, while the military component is operated by the Indian Coast Guard. The Indian Coast Guard is a maritime law enforcement and search and rescue agency under the Ministry of Defence, established on 18 August 1978.

The active installation hosts Coast Guard Air Squadron (CGAS) 850 and CGAS 851. CGAS 850 operates Dhruv Mk II helicopters from the facility.
