Description
Gaziemir Air Base is a Turkish Air Force installation located 10 kilometers south of İzmir. The facility is operated by the Air Force Training Command and serves as the command's headquarters. The base hosts the 203rd Search and Rescue Squadron (Ege), which operates CASA CN-235M-100 aircraft. Infrastructure at the installation includes the Turkish Air Force foreign-language school (Hava Lisan Okulu Komutanlığı).
