Description
Konya Air Base is a joint military and civil aviation facility located 18 kilometers from Konya, Turkey. The installation opened for public use in 2000 and is utilized by both the Turkish Air Force and NATO.
The base hosts the 3rd Air Wing (Ana Jet Üssü) of the 1st Air Force Command. This command also maintains wings at Eskişehir, Ankara Akıncı, Bandırma, and Balıkesir. Infrastructure at the site includes a 2,650-square-meter passenger terminal and parking for 278 vehicles.
