Description

Habata Air Base is an Egyptian Air Force installation located southeast of Sallum in the Matrouh Governorate. The facility is owned by the Ministry of Defense and operated by the Egyptian Air Force.

The base hosts 44 Squadron of the 104 Tactical Fighter Wing, 149 Air Division, which operates Mikoyan MiG-29M/M2 aircraft. It also houses 36 Squadron of the 203 Tactical Fighter Wing, 139 Air Division, which operates Dassault Rafale DM/EM aircraft.
