Description
The 59th Helicopter Air Base is a coastal air base located at Tuzla, Constanța County. The facility was active during the Cold War and post-1989 period, associated mainly with helicopter and maritime-support missions. The base was disbanded during early-2000s restructuring. The airfield is presently operated by the Romanian Naval Forces and for civilian use.
