Description
The 19th Air Base is located in Focșani, Vrancea County. The facility functioned primarily as a Romanian Air Force training and liaison installation with the longest grass runway in the country. It hosted the 19th Aviation School and Liaison Group (Grupul 19 Aviație Școală Legătură). The unit was disbanded in 2002 due to force restructuring, with aircraft and personnel being reassigned.
