Niederstetten Air Base, also known as Heeresflugplatz Niederstetten, is located in Germany. Established in 1936, the active installation operates under a dual military and civilian usage designation.
The facility is operated by the German Army Aviation Corps. It hosts Transporthubschrauberregiment 30 "Tauberfranken," which conducts troop and logistics transport missions using NH90 (Caiman) helicopters. Additionally, a unit within the regiment operates H145 helicopters to provide a nationwide Search and Rescue (SAR) service. The regiment previously operated UH-1D helicopters, which are now retired from its inventory.
