Description
Artsyz is a former Ukrainian Air Force base located near Artsyz, Odesa Oblast, Ukraine. During the Soviet period, the installation hosted units of the Soviet Air Forces. Between 1983 and 1989, the base was the station for the 37th Guards Military Transport Aviation Regiment, which operated Ilyushin Il-76MD aircraft. During the same period, the facility also hosted the 90th Independent Assault Aviation Regiment, which operated the Sukhoi Su-25.
