Menagh Air Base (Serok Apo Air Base)

Menagh Air Base, also known as Minnigh Airport or Minakh Air Base, is a military air base located six kilometers south of Azaz in the Aleppo Governorate of Syria, near the village of Manaq.

The base historically hosted the Syrian Air Force's 4th Flying Training Squadron, which operated MBB 223 Flamingo trainer aircraft and Mil Mi-8 helicopters.

Opposition forces placed the air base under siege in August 2012 during the Syrian Civil War. A coalition of insurgent groups, including ISIL, the Northern Storm Brigade, and Tawhid Brigades, captured the facility on 6 August 2013, after which control passed to the Al-Nusra Front. Syrian Democratic Forces captured the installation on 10 February 2016 following Russian airstrikes. Following its capture, the People's Protection Units briefly renamed the facility Serok Apo Air Base. On 1 December 2024, opposition forces aligned with the Syrian Interim Government under the Dawn of Freedom Operations Room took control of the base.
