Honduran Air Force

The Honduras Air Force, officially known as the Fuerza Aérea Hondureña (FAH), was established on April 14, 1931. Its primary objective is air defense and surveillance of national airspace. The FAH operates under the command of the Ministry of Defense and is responsible for safeguarding the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Honduras. The air force comprises various units, including combat, transport, reconnaissance, and training squadrons. Its aircraft inventory consists of aging but operational platforms, such as the A-37B Dragonfly, UH-1H Huey II helicopters, and Cessna 206 and 337 aircraft. The FAH often engages in joint military exercises with partner nations to enhance its capabilities and foster international cooperation. While limited in resources and faced with budgetary constraints, the Honduras Air Force has maintained a readiness posture to respond to internal and external threats, such as drug trafficking organizations and natural disasters.
