Description
The CBU-100 Rockeye II is an American cluster bomb fielded in 1968. It is utilized for the engagement of armored vehicles.
The system functions as a dispenser for Mk 118 High Explosive Anti-Tank (HEAT) submunitions. Each dispenser carries 247 of these bomblets. The submunitions employ a shaped-charge warhead capable of penetrating 190 mm of armor.
The weapon is operated by the United States, South Korea, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Israel, and Greece. During Operation Desert Storm, 27,987 Rockeyes were deployed.
